STARTER
The introduction for the session will be a simple explanation of what an eco-friendly infrastructure is with real-life examples.
PRESENTATION
The students as groups will play against each other in a game of ‘rock, paper, scissors’ best out of three (OR partake in a small quiz).
They will play per set (one game per each set – total of two matches)
The winners for each set will get the chance to choose first from among the available materials and then the remaining shall choose according to ranking (1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th)
ALTERNATIVE (QUIZ- allows a direct application of the other elements of S.T.E.A.M. as the questions could be based on them).
The questions will be asked according to level of difficulty – hardest will be asked first followed by simpler questions (total of three question and each easier than the last)
The group who answers the question with the highest difficulty first will get the chance to choose first followed by the group who answered the second most difficult question and then the group who answered the third and final question. The remaining group who failed to answer any of the questions (first) will receive the remaining alternative.

HANDS-ON ACTIVITY
Students have to create an eco-friendly building accustomed to the harsh climate of Dubai. They are required to construct a 3-D model of their building from the basic materials provided and write out a detailed specification of it.
